Kate Thompson has been providing primary care services at Cumberland Family Medicine since 2009. She has over 20 years' experience providing comprehensive health services to adult and pediatric patients. Originally from Long Island, New York, she has held positions in New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington, DE, and southern New Jersey.

Utilizing a blend of medical and nursing skills, her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health problems, and women's health. In addition to family practice her professional experience includes emergency services, occupational health, and caring for migrant and indigent populations in southern New Jersey. Kate strives to take an individualized, compassionate, and holistic approach to patients. She believes in educating patients to empower them to make the best decisions for their health and wellbeing.
